Frequently Asked Questions

Can I drink alcohol on board the party bike? 2016-09-04T14:32:38+00:00

You may drink beer and wine on board the party bike. However, please note the following laws and rules so that your group’s activities are lawful and safe:

  • Beer and wine only.
  • No glass or hard liquor on board.
  • All alcoholic beverages are BYOB. We cannot provide or sell alcohol.
  • Do not step off board the vehicle with an open container as you will be in violation of public consumption laws and may be cited. All alcoholic beverages must stay on the vehicle!
When should we arrive for our reservation? 2016-09-20T00:01:06+00:00

Please arrive 15-25 minutes prior to your start time to ensure that we can check you in, sign liability waivers, get loaded up, and go over the rules to get the tour started on time.

Reservations are for the time slot booked. Since we run our tours back to back, private parties that get started late will still finish at the stated same time.

Public tours such as pub crawls will start and end at the time specified. We cannot wait for stragglers as it is unfair to everyone who showed up on time, and the ticket price will not be refunded.

What should we bring with us? 2017-09-01T15:46:30+00:00

One of the funnest parts of the buzz bike experience is that you can actually bring your own beer and wine on board! But don’t let forgetting a couple of things dampen the experience.

Below are the supplies we recommend bringing with you, along with a few things we can’t have on board.

What To Bring:

  • We have a cooler and provide ice and cups, but you can pack your own cooler if desired
  • Your favorite beer and wine
  • Water to stay hydrated
  • Snacks if desired

Do Not Bring:

  • Glass containers. Beer should be in cans and wine should be boxed or put into water bottles
  • Hard liquor and mixed drinks are not allowed on board the buzz bike
Who drives the party bike? 2016-08-20T20:46:17+00:00

Have no fear, an experienced and trained Party Bike Pilot will drive the bike so your group can focus on partying!

Should we tip the driver? 2016-08-20T21:18:55+00:00

The drivers do work for tips and aim to provide an excellent experience for our guests! You can either add a tip in advance when making your booking, give the driver cash, or let us know to add it to the credit card on file after the tour. It is always greatly appreciated for a job well done!

Is there music on board? 2017-01-13T17:28:43+00:00

Yes! We have a rocking sound system and LED lights for the perfect party ambiance. Our tablet that hooks up to the system is full of music from every genre with tons of songs and playlist options for you to choose. Make sure to bring a good DJ!

How many people can ride? 2017-08-05T11:00:57+00:00

We can fit a maximum of 15 passengers on board the bike, but require a minimum of 8 people to pedal the party bike. Non-private tours (based on individual tickets) are tentative until we have the minimum number of riders.

We will notify you 24 hours in advance if the tour cannot be confirmed and will issue a refund if that is the case. We recommend being flexible with the time so that we can pair you up with other groups to reach the minimum needed! Individuals or groups that are too small to be confirmed MAY be bumped to another time in favor of a confirmed private party and we will notify you if that occurs. In that case, you will have the option of getting a refund or changing times.

There are a total of 10 pedaling seats and 5 non-pedaling seats. So if you have someone in your group that can’t pedal, no problem!

Is there an age requirement? 2016-08-20T20:39:12+00:00

Public Tour Age Requirement
The minimum age for all public tours (individual tickets) involving alcohol is 21 years of age or older. Riders must present valid ID to the driver when signing the release waiver before the start of the booking.

Private Party Age Requirements
Private parties may have people under the age of 21 on board. If alcohol is involved, the people under 21 may not be consuming alcohol and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is responsible for the minor. If at any time a minor is suspected of consuming alcohol by the driver, the reservation will be immediately terminated and no refund will be issued.

Infants and children who require a car seat will not be allowed on board the party bike. Children under the age of 12 may be required to sit on the back bench with the seat belt on.

Where does the tour start and end? 2016-08-20T21:16:20+00:00

Our locations are very close to where the tour operates. The exact location / meeting spot for the tours in each city are included in the confirmation email that you will receive after making your reservation. In general, all reservations begin and end at our location — the bike has to get back somehow, after all!

Can my group sign the rider waiver in advance? 2016-09-04T15:04:20+00:00

All riders must sign a waiver and present valid ID upon arrival. While we do have kiosks on location to do so, everyone in your group can sign the rider waiver online in advance of arrival as well. Doing so will help ensure a prompt departure at the start time of your reservation!

Click here to sign the waiver online and send the link to your group.

Upon completion, you will receive a verification email that you will need to show to the driver when you arrive for your reservation.

Where can we take the party bike and how long is each stop? 2016-08-20T20:58:34+00:00

Private parties can take the party bike to any stop that they want to go to! If you have a few favorite bars, just let the driver know where to go. Want to try something new? Ask the driver for a recommendation! Most groups can make it to up to three stops on a two hour reservation, with about 20-25 minutes at each stop.

Public tours (individual tickets) have a set itinerary that cannot be changed.

Is it really pedal powered? 2016-08-20T20:44:56+00:00

Yes! While you do have to pedal to make the bike move, the bike is equipped with an electric assist motor to help the riders. It’s a lot easier than it looks!

Do I need a reservation to ride? 2016-08-20T20:15:22+00:00

Yes! We run based on reservations only, which you can make through our online booking sytem or by calling us. We recommend planning ahead as we are often booked in advance for popular weekend time slots!

Reserving a private group tour requires a 50% non-refundable deposit with the remaining balance charged to the card on file or paid cash the day of the booking.

Individual tickets for public tours require payment of the full amount at the time of reservation.

How long is the reservation? 2016-08-20T20:10:19+00:00

Reservations are typically for two hour intervals unless otherwise specified or additional time is purchased.

Please arrive for your reservation 20 minutes before the start time to sign waivers, go over the rules, and ensure prompt departure.

I didn’t receive an email after making my reservation. Help! 2016-08-20T21:40:56+00:00

Never fear! Just give us a call and we will verify that we have the correct email address on file to send you a new one.

My reservation email says “pending” or “on hold”. What does that mean? 2017-08-10T10:07:50+00:00

If your reservation email says Confirmed, no further action on your part is necessary.

Reservation emails that say Pending either still require payment in order to be confirmed or have not reached the minimum number of riders to be confirmed.

Please note that pending reservations are NOT confirmed until you receive an email specifying that you are confirmed. Individuals or groups that are too small to be confirmed MAY need to be moved to another time in favor of a confirmed private party, and we will notify you if that occurs. In that case, you will have the option of changing times or getting a refund.

For smaller groups, we recommend being flexible with your reservation time, as often we can pair up small groups together at a different time in order to make the tour happen!

On Hold emails mean you have joined a waiting list and the time slot is not yet available. All customers with pending and on hold bookings will be notified 24 hours before the start time as to whether or not their booking is confirmed.

Can I cancel or change my reservation? 2017-04-06T17:27:21+00:00

You may call or email us to cancel your reservation up to 14 days before your reservation date and receive a full refund. You may call or email us to reschedule your reservation date, subject to availability, up to 14 days before your reservation date.

We cannot cancel or reschedule less than 14 days from the reservation date. Any payments or deposits made will be forfeited in the case of cancellation within 14 days of the reservation date.

If your reservation is rescheduled, we cannot reschedule or cancel a second time. These bookings will still be charged the full amount. Make sure to cancel or reschedule in advance if you need to!

What is the weather policy? 2017-01-13T17:28:44+00:00

We ride rain or shine, but for safety we cancel if there is lightning or other severe weather. Don’t worry — you won’t be pedaling around in a monsoon! If we have to cancel the reservation based on severe weather conditions, you will receive a 100% refund or rain check for another date.

Please dress appropriately for predicted weather conditions. Weather cancellations are not made until right before your reservation’s scheduled start time, as weather can be unpredictable.

What should I wear? 2016-08-20T20:43:18+00:00

Please dress appropriately for predicted weather conditions. We do recommend closed-toed shoes for comfort though it is not required. We also recommend not wearing high heels or long, flowing dresses!

Someone in my group can’t pedal. Can they still ride? 2017-09-01T15:51:45+00:00

There are a total of 10 pedaling seats and 5 non-pedaling seats, including a back bench. So if you have someone in your group that can’t pedal, no problem!
